Worcester, MA – Over the course of November, employees of Ballard Truck Center conducted a fundraising competition in support of Men’s Health. Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale, focusing on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. The charity raises funds to deliver innovative, breakthrough research and support programs that enable men to live happier, healthier and longer lives. Committed to disrupting the status quo, millions have joined the movement, helping fund over 1,250 projects around the world.
The goal? Grow a mo. A moustache that is. For the month of November, the members of the fundraising team grew and sculpted unique moustaches to start conversations around Men’s Health issues and raise funds. The result? $2,585 donated to the Movember organization. More than doubling last year’s numbers.
In addition – the Women of Ballard had a little fun themselves. Taking up a vote on who held the razor the best. For each vote submitted on the poll sent to the the Ballard Ladies, Ballard Truck Center made a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation – totaling $400.
