Our response to the Coronavirus Pandemic
As an essential business providing maintenance and repair services to the shipping and logistics industry, Ballard Truck Center has remained steadfast in our commitment to providing reliable service to our communities.
During this unprecedented crisis, the up-time of logistics supply chains has been absolutely crucial to our nation. All our locations have remained open and ready to work, retaining all of our employees and services.
There is a world-wide shortage in our industry, like many – our team is doing everything possible to meet the demands of our customer’s businesses. Manufacturer supply chains are still affected by the on-going supply chain delays. Both our New and Used truck inventory along with our ability to get parts remains very much affected. We encourage you to call and speak with our team members for the most up-to-date information on inventory and how we can best support your business.
All our locations are currently open with restrictions.
- All persons entering our facilities are recommended to wear a face covering if they have not been vaccinated.
- Bathroom facilities are closed to the public – all our locations have portable restrooms available for drivers.
- Our corporate offices in Worcester are closed to the public. This does not affect regular business.

February 18, 2022
Effective February 18, following the City of Worcester’s lift of it’s Mask Mandate, face coverings will no longer be required at any Ballard Truck Center facility. It is recommended for those unvaccinated or feeling ill to continue practicing social distancing protocols and the use of face coverings.

In response to the on-going surge of COVID19 cases, various locations may be requesting customers wear a face covering regardless of local ordinance. date
September 20, 2021
Due to order of the City of Worcester, masks are required for all persons entering our Worcester facility regardless of vaccination status, effective immediately and until further notice.

Due to order of the Town of West Springfield, masks are required for all persons entering our West Springfield facility regardless of vaccination status, effective immediately and until further notice.

JUNE 1, 2021
In accordance with CDC guidance, effective June 1, 2021 – all of our facilities have returned to regular operations with minimal restrictions. Restrooms remain closed to the public, with portable restrooms available. Our Worcester business office is still closed to the public, and those who have not received their vaccine are recommended to wear a face covering indoors.
We still encourage you to call ahead for parts orders and service scheduling/questions. All locations will continue offering curb-side parts pickup.

As of today – Monday June 8 – all our locations have reopened their lobbies! We thank you for your patience with us over the past few months and as we continue to navigate the times ahead. Please note that our sales offices are open by appointment only.

Ballard Truck Center partnered with Quinn’s Irish Pub to show it’s appreciation for our community’s front line workers. Ballard’s contribution to Quinn’s Food for the Frontline program benefited the Worcester Fire Department, Local 1009 on Grove Street.
MARCH 23, 2020
Governor Baker has issued an emergency order requiring all employers that do not provide “COVID-19 Essential Services” to close their physical workplaces and facilities to workers, customers, and the public from Tuesday, March 24, at 12 p.m. (noon) until Tuesday, April 7 at noon.
As an essential service, Ballard Truck Center will remain open, however all our location’s lobbies will be closed to the public effective immediately.
