Avon, MA – Ballard Truck Center has announced it will begin a Diesel Technician Training program out of its Avon, Massachusetts location. The program will offer an opportunity for prospective techs to get into the industry quickly and easily. The only requirements are candidates be 18 years of age, hold a High School diploma or equivalent, and be a team player ready to jump head-first into their new career.
For a new Diesel Technician, the cost of tools – which are typically a personal expense in the industry – can be prohibitive. During this training program period, all tools will be provided to trainees. Upon successful completion of the program, Ballard Truck Center will provide a $2,000 allowance for tools that will be forgiven after two years with the company.
In addition to competitive pay during the training period, numerous benefits including a $5,000 sign-on bonus will be offered upon successful completion.
Ballard Truck Center has been named Mack and Volvo Trucks North American Dealer Group of the Year. With 7 locations in the northeast, we keep New England rolling. Training will be conducted at our Avon, MA location by a Mack Master Technician. Following training, technicians have the opportunity to be placed in any of our locations based on availability.
